Hey,
First off I would like to apologize for the delays in MLG EXTREME. We've been too busy enjoying Battlefield 3 to really crank anything out. I do have some footage, although it's not very funny. With the lack of private matches, it makes doing funny things much more difficult.
But alas, Halo: CEA is coming out soon and hopefully our Halo interest will be revived. Truth is, we got kinda bored with the game. I still love it, but it begins to get a bit repetitive after you've been playing it for about 2 1/2 years straight. Halo is our home and always will be, and it's the place where we can get the best footage. Also, since time has been limited between Wizzle and I recently, we haven't been able to put that much energy towards planning out good episodes. Once again, we apologize. We really should've stockpiled videos this summer. Our bad.
I've got to say, I'm rather unsure about the future of MLG EXTREME. With limited feedback from fans, I don't know if it's gotten dull. I really don't want to end it. I know I could make a killer finale that would reduce everyone to tears, but we're not ready for that yet. We have a lot of love in MLG EXTREME, and ending it would tear us up. So we're gonna keep going no matter what. Sometimes I forget the philosophy that drove us in our earlier days. MLG EXTREME is not a way to score views. It is a way for Wizzle and I to catalogue some of the best times of our lives. It's about having fun, and that's all that matters.
In happier news, we started a Battlefield 3 platoon! You can request to join by hitting the link below. All you'll need is a Battlelog account, which is fast, easy, and free to make.
Join the Team MLG EXTREME Battlefield 3 Platoon!
So until Wizzle and I get our acts straight, ya'll are gonna have to wait on the MLG EXTREME's.
Thanks,
Scott

MLG EXTREME Episode 74, Project Redux
Hey,
First off, business as usual on Mondays (it's actually Tuesday, but the episode was released yesterday). MLG EXTREME: Episode 74. Wizzle and I mixed it up a bit and took to Read Dead Redemption for this episode while we eagerly await Battlefield 3. It actually turned out to be a long and pretty funny episode. Let me know if you guys like it, because we certainly do have more footage if you all don't mind the break from Halo. Hit the link below to watch it.
MLG EXTREME Episode 74: "The Hunt"
Also, I have mentioned several times that I have other projects on the back burner. Today I'm ready to start talking about one, but only briefly. About 2 months ago I became affiliated with a small video game company called Warhead Studios. I took a lead writing position and have been working to write for their game. While the studio isn't ready to reveal the game, I can say that we are currently calling it "Project Redux." You can follow us on the studio's new website as well as my personal devlog. Can't wait to talk about it more.

That wraps it up for this week. See you next Monday!

MLG EXTREME Episode 73: "The Flaming Ninja Challenge"
Hey,
Team MLG EXTREME is back again this week with another challenge course. We attempted petetheduck's "Flaming Ninja Challenge 2." We failed miserably but had fun while doing it.

Videos and stuff that I forgot to post
Hey,
Sorry I haven't updated this thing in a month. I've just been lazy to be honest. Anyway, listen to this while I tell you what's up.
I actually posted that song because I'm pretty pumped about LoZ: Skyward Sword. Ocarina of Time was the reason I got my N64 way back in 1999 or 2000 or whenever it was. Wizzle and I are also looking forward to Battlefield 3 and Halo: CEA. Some pretty awesome livestreams coming up!
Since I last updated this, I've gotten my hands on a super powerful computer. For example, on my old laptop a standard MLG EXTREME took about an hour to render. This computer took 6 minutes to render a video of that length, and I didn't even jack up the settings all the way. This new computer is going to make SHF even more awesome now that I have some serious power.
Oh, and a couple of MLG EXTREME's were released too:
MLG EXTREME Episode 71: "The Mexican Warthog"
MLG EXTREME Episode 72: "Party Crashers"
Enjoy!
In other news, Wizzle and I have been thinking about doing a small podcast. The idea has been tossed around a lot during the past year but we may actually do it. I think it would be cool for viewers to see the people behind the videos. If we don't get to that, I'm sure we'll be doing a lot in the new games coming out this year. I'm really looking forward to that. I haven't gotten a new game in nearly a year and, to be quite honest, Halo: Reach is starting to bore me a bit. I need to mix things up a bit. Wizzle and I were gonna do a Minecraft series but 1.8 isn't compatible with our server...yet.
Lots on the horizon, and lots of things are in the works. Things I can't talk to you about...yet.
Stay tuned,
Scott

MLG EXTREME Episode 70, Moar Newz
Hey,
Another late upload, but at least its out. You can check out MLG EXTREME Episode 70: "Soldiers In Arms" here. And with that, ladies and gentlemen, we close the books on season 7 of MLG EXTREME. Hope you all enjoyed it!
Also, next week I'm putting in my order for a new computer, so as fall and winter nears and my life is consumed by...*shudders*...REAL LIFE...it should make things run a bit more smoothly and efficiently. I'll also be doing a lot more livestreaming. More on that later.
In other news, Clash & Desire is delayed until further notice due to my lack of caring anymore. I've realized that SHF is where my heart is at. I appreciate the love and generosity that has come from Revive and it's community, and I will finish C&D, but when I have a bit of breathing room to do so.
I also hope you all are enjoying the exciting news coming out of PAX and Halo Fest! (I'm incredibly sad that SHF wasn't invited. We totally could've held our own panel and it would've been the shit.) Just a bit of food for thought for the future: We honestly don't know what our future is after Reach. We have another year yet before we have to decide whether to move onto Halo 4, move to Bungie's new game (if its even announced/released by then), or just end MLG EXTREME all together. In my honest opinion I don't know how much more we can do in Halo. MLG EXTREME did have a sudden surge of creativity in it's episodes, but how much longer that will last I do not know. Perhaps a new game will give MLG EXTREME a breath of new life, but we will only move away from Halo if we know the new game is going to be fun and that Halo 4 will suck. It's still too early to know that yet, but just keep that in mind for the future.
And that's it I think. Enjoy your last bits of summer, I know we will. Wizzle and I will be getting in our last summer Halo nights before our world turns snowy, dark, and depressing again.
Peace out,
Scott

MLG EXTREME Episode 69, Promo 2
Hey,
Sorry I haven't been updating this thing as soon as I should recently. I just forget about it now. It really doesn't even matter, because nobody even visits this thing, but it makes me feel like I'm trying to reach out to my deceptive and mysterious audience.
As more and more projects pile up and I'm becoming increasingly demanded (not only on the machinima/Halo front, but in real life as well), I've just had a hard time keeping up and staying focused. Life keeps just interrupting my plans for a wicked SHF expansion and I doubt I'll get done as much as I wanted to get done before summer draws to a close. I'm also starting to believe that I made a mistake when agreeing to do Clash & Desire. Maybe my interest will be reinvigorated come fall/winter, but those two seasons bring an even more hectic schedule. I think I'm going to keep my focus on SHF from now on, because I've realized that I'm happier when I'm in charge and producing content featuring my closet friends. SHF is really, really special to me and when next spring rolls around I'm going to put my heart and soul into giving it the attention it deserves.
But fear not, I've still managed to get content out, no matter how late it is. Recently I've released a second promo for MLG EXTREME showcasing random highlights throughout the series. If you're looking for a sweet montage, then this video isn't for you. I simply smashed some clips together from previous episodes to create a feeling of nostalgia and remembrance for all of the places we've been and all of the laughs we've had. You can see the MLG EXTREME Promo 2 here.
We've also released MLG EXTREME Episode 69, which commemorates our favorite number, 69. And it wouldn't be an MLG EXTREME celebration without a giant forged penis. This episode had some very positive reactions and gave us a nice little jump in subscribers in the wake of it's release. You can watch MLG EXTREME Episode 69: "The Art of Cack Forging" here.
In other news, the shift key fell off of my keyboard and I can't reattach it, so I'm forced to push the little button that was under the key to use the left shift key, which is the habitual shift key and I simply can't adjust myself to use the shift key on the right side of the keyboard. Good thing I'm going to acquire a new computer in the coming months. Should help me produce content quicker as well. I need to stop spending so much money.
And that just about wraps it up. Thanks so much for all of your support. Remember to tell your friends and your mother about us.
Thanks,
Scott

Anyways, here is MLG EXTREME Episode 68. We decided to mix things up a bit this episode. Turned out to be really funny.
